Because of an incident involving fire and grudges, Jomy was orphaned when he was still a baby. His parents’ acquaintances, despite not really liking his parents, decided to adopt the boy. It was a win-win situation for both parties; Maria always wanted a son but couldn’t have one because she was sterile, and Jomy needed a couple to nurture him.

He was raised in a decent home. Considering how Jomy’s parents were arrogant purebloods, they tried their best to raise him like that, too. They were surprised when they realized Jomy could care less about status, and how the boy preferred games and just running outdoors more than tea parties and bragging about money. He always did have a naïve view of the world, and they assumed that was a good thing.

That left him friendless, though. While the other kids were talking about how awesome being a pureblood was, he just stared at them blankly. A kid called him barbaric once, so he gave him a good punch on the face. His parents never allowed him to attend pureblood parties since.

When he was around eleven, while he and his foster mom were shopping for school, his mom told him he could pick any pet he wanted. He found a stray, black kitten outside and said he wanted that one. They became best buds, but he always manages to forget to give it a name. Also, a couple of years after that, the cat fell into a potion and turned blue.

The first two years in Hogwarts was rather uneventful, and he repeated his third year because… well, blame “not wanting to waste the summer to go to remedial classes”.

His life was turned upside down during the summer after his third year, though. When he got home from school, his parents were gone, and their manor was burning. They were gone. The only thing they left for him was his inheritance. He assumed they were dead. After that, he was never the same. He swore to become an Auror.

He stayed with Sam, his muggleborn friend, for a while before a blood relative, Uncle Harley, found him. Living with Harley, eventually, became a normal thing for him. He affectionately calls him “Captain” while Harley happily dubbed him “Soldier”.

When he was fifteen or so, he fell in love with his neighbor and she loved him back but he was too much of a wimp to tell her. She gave up on him and started dating another guy. Jomy was happy for them. After a few months of their relationship, her boyfriend impregnated her and he died because of an accident weeks later. The girl, devastated, decided to commit suicide and jumped off a building. Jomy witnessed this and Harley had to take care of the traumatized boy.

The years that followed went by uneventful for Jomy, but he considered that a good thing. There’s a lot of toys around his bed (stuffed animal ones), and whenever asked about it, he just smiles and shrugs.

As for classes he’s good at; he’s incredibly talented at Divinations, Arithmancy, Flying, Potions, Transfigurations, and anything related to dueling. For ones he’s terrible at, it’s History of Magic and Ancient Runes. He hates both of it for some reason.

personality.

Jomy’s personality changes whenever needed. In canon, he grew from a sympathetic, whiny brat to a capable, merciless leader. I’ll be taking him halfway through his character development.

“Fearless and strong” has always been a couple of good words to describe him, and with good reason. He’s very brave, impulsive, and he’ll overcome any challenge fate throws at him. He’s not someone that gives up halfway. His determination’s amazing; once you have him fired enough, the only way he’ll ever give up his goal is when his body crumbles. It’s a trait that sticks with him.

He has the habit of breaking rules, though. Again, it’s a trait that sticks with him, grown up and matured or not. He’ll try to cut classes—History of Magic, namely—and maybe sneak out at night so he could go outside and see the stars or something.

He’s not afraid of anything… well, with two exceptions. The first one would be emotional attachments; he’s been through a lot, so he’s afraid of getting hurt again… which poses as a problem for him because he’s pretty sociable.

The second one would be being a burden to somebody. That’s the last thing he wants.

The first impression someone will usually get of him would be that he’s very… mature. He always has a polite fake smile on his face, a cool composure, and excellent manners, especially around older people. Although, whenever around people younger than him, he loosens up a bit and occasionally jokes around with them. He’s very sweet, caring and selfless. He respects everyone, and he’ll do his best to act as a positive role model or a good big brother without pushing it. His calm, mature exterior’s just a face, though; he’s actually very childish, once you get to know him.

THE GOOD:

Kaoru Hitatchiin – 5^th Year Gryffindor. His partner in crime, ½ of their infamous alien duo, and a good friend of his. He’s sometimes Kaoru’s common sense. He might not know it, but he tends to act like the boy’s big brother.
Crona Makenshi – 4^th Year Hufflepuff. Because of the canon powers event, he finds out more about her, and he immediately decides he wants to take care of her. He treats her like his own daughter sometimes.
Saralegui Sargon – 6^th Year Slytherin. ~~His blind whore, except less blind and more whore.~~ Who would’ve thought aliens, mindrape, and a sketch pad could change his opinion about Sara? At first, he just wanted to make it up to him because of the whole toilet episode, but after he got to know him better, he genuinely cared about him. Friendship's mutual now. Yay.
Natsuo Sagan – 5^th Year Slytherin. Another kid that he treats like a son, but this time, they actually talked about that. He’s a fellow prankster, and Jomy's confident side usually shows up whenever he’s around him.
Shirley Fenette – 6^th Year Hufflepuff. One word: cute. She’s just so adorable sometimes. He can’t help being fond of her. Plus she reminds him of Carina... a lot.
Raimei Shimizu – 6^th Year Gryffindor. His teammate and “princess”. :D But in all seriousness, he treats her like a good friend, even if she doesn’t think of him as such. He also admires how strong she is.
Risa Koizumi – 5^th Year Gryffindor. His student/fangirl, but he doesn’t know about the latter. He’s very protective of her, especially after that Soubi episode. He wants her to pass her OWLs with flying colors.
Mitsuki Koyama – 3^rd Year Hufflepuff. An adorable little girl. He’s overprotective of her, because she’s so small and fragile.
Rita Mordio – 5^th Year Ravenclaw. He really, really likes Rita, and while they’re not friends yet, he loves how she cares for him.
Raivis Lorinaitis – 2^nd Year Hufflepuff. He treats him like his son/little brother/good friend.
Shin Sawada – 6^th Year Gryffindor. Roomie. Cheered Jomy up when he emo'd. They're a lot closer now. :)
Tsubaki Nakatsuka - 4^th Year Hufflepuff. Sweet girl. He wants to help around whenever she bakes stuff.

THE NEUTRAL:

Euphemia Li Lamperouge – 6^th Year Hufflepuff. An adorable girl. They're baking buddies. %D
Maka Albarn – 4^th Year Gryffindor. His teammate. He doesn’t know her much, but he wants her to get along with her dad.
Toshiro Hitsugaya – 5^th Year Ravenclaw. He’s short on the outside, but he’s taller than him in the inside. :’D
Yoite – 7^th Year Ravenclaw. He wants to help him. D:
Justin Law – 6^th Year Slytherin. He wants to make it up to him because of the ballerina episode.

THE BAD:

Winry Rockbell - 7^th Year Gryffindor. He used to think she was okay before, but after the Kaoru incident, she got angry at him. Even though he apologized to her, and tried his best to cheer Kaoru up, she still decided to drown him with sarcasm. After that, he began to doubt himself more, plus found a new dislike for her. He's pretty sure the feeling's mutual.

random facts.

→ He secretly muses about the Earth a lot. :D
→ He’s not really a vegetarian, but he’ll avoid meat whenever he can. It’s not that he finds the stuff repulsive—he finds them delicious, actually—but whenever he eats them; he’ll start thinking of how the meat was prepared. He doesn’t like eating murdered animals. :c Only Harley knows about that, though.
→ He can sketch pictures because Nina and Carina were terrible, terrible enablers. Don’t ask him to color or clean up his drawings, though; it’ll just end in failure.
→ He can sew a little, because Harley got pissed at him one time; his stuffed animals kept losing their arms, and Harley is a very busy man, so he taught him how.
→ He cannot cook, and he’s not willing to learn either. The last time he tried to cook soup, something moved. Yeah, horrible, horrible memories; he’ll stick to raw vegetables, ‘kay thanks.
→ He keeps a picture of Carina in his wallet.
→ He owns a couple of dresses… worn them, too. Again, Nina and Carina were terrible, terrible enablers.
→ He really, really likes soccer. Really. He owns a soccer ball. It’s behind his teddy bears.
→ He has two left feet. :D Buuut, he’s pretty decent in a waltz.
→ For some reason, he’s really good at fencing.
→ He can’t play any instrument, but he can sing. /o/
→ He owns an iPod, but it only gets charged whenever he visits muggle homes.

→ He can stand more pain than the normal person. When I say this, I am not exaggerating. D: Stab him on the shoulder and strangle him, and he'll STILL be hanging in there. It's ridiculous.

→ He's smarter than he seems. He's a fast learner, and he has a knack for everything.
→ He hates Astrology, but he's terribly good at it.
→ He's multilingual; he knows French, German, Latin (lol, he's barely literate about this one, though), English, Japanese, and some Greek.
→ He always suffers from depression whenever it's his birthday, because that's the date his parents' died, so no one but Harley and Nina knows about it.
